Our stories are often influenced by our upbringing, our culture, and our environment. Many of the stories we tell ourselves are positive and help us to see the world in a more optimistic light.

However, some of the stories we tell ourselves can be negative and can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. It is important to be aware of the stories we tell ourselves and to choose those that empower us and help us to see the world in a positive light. When we do this, we can create a more positive reality for ourselves.

If you tell yourself you’re awkward in social settings, you’ll internalize that message and freeze up in conversation.

This is a good thing because, as the old saying goes, “you become what you believe.” If you believe you’re good enough, you’ll start to act like it. You’ll step up to challenges and opportunities, you’ll persevere when things get tough, and you’ll start to believe that you can change the world. So if you want to stand in your own sunshine and cast shadows over your self-doubt, start by telling yourself that you are good enough.
